in my opinion, I think by using solar power, wind turbines, hydro power, fuels. We could try different methods and find out which is the best.

Re: Hunan Primary Eco-Tour questions
1) solar power. As Singapore is always in summer, the only concern is the cloud coverage.
2) We can make use of all the sources we have to reuse, reduce and recycle.
3) By inventing water filtration machine. An example will be NEWater, we could better improve on this technic.
4) No, many of the students only focus on their important subjects and have no idea on what is sustainability.
5) By encouraging people leave in Singapore to use less air-conditional and reward those who using less.

1)What natural energy harvesting technique is best fit for Singapore?
Solar panel is probably easiest to deploy, but still not very good fit as the roof space is better used for rooftop gardens, which reduce heat energy of the building, provide space for biodiversity, reduce flooding, and act as additional recreational space. Long-term, hydro-power would probably be the best fit, but it will take significant investment to deploy.
2)What is YOUR vision of a sustainable Singapore?
I think Singapore is in a unique position to lead in sustainable city initiatives and technologies, which would be picked up by other cities around the world once they see the benefits.
3)How can Singapore become water self-sufficient?
Already a lot is being done in areas like recycling waste water and desalination, however more could be done with encouraging use a grey water for areas like landscaping, flushing toilets, and cleaning.
4)Do you think sustainable education is present enough in Singapore's education curriculum?
Yes, I think there is concerted effort to have sustainable education in Singapore, which is very encouraging.
5)How can Singapore cut down on future energy usage?
Paying the full cost of energy usage (including the emissions) is the best incentive, and I believe a carbon tax is already being considered.
